Church-planting is a crucial ingredient in executing an effective ministry for missionaries. As a result, Missionary Kim aims to plant Igreja Presbiteriana-branched churches near some of the riverside towns of the region, which are usually melting pots of the Brazilian and Indian communities. Missionary Kim is preparing to plant his first branch of Igreja Presbiteriana in Barcelo and Santa Isabel. From there, he anticipates that many of the nearby villagers will turn to the Lord through the church. This will open up opportunities for new seminary recruits, and in turn, will produce more competent, trained, and educated missionaries and pastors, fully-equipped to do God's work.

These newly-trained pastors and missionaries from Rio Negro Seminary will begin to plant churches in their own villages.
Considerations are being made to plant churches in Sao Gabriel da Cachoeira, a region where a local church is needed.
